I am crazy over this song. ever since they took down the dance rendition (which i luuuv), Im just listening to different takes on her song. here are two "remixes" which i've found. and which i like lots. for the unacquainted, i've put in Britney's orginal as well. enjoy!

Hes going to be 23 in a few more hours time. We gave him an angpow! a buffet treat! and a minotti's cake! sweet!

went for my internship interview for research in volunteerism and philanthropy at mcys.

was a little nervous.

the guy who talked approached me, his first words were, "so are you the new intern?"

i was so puzzled. arn't i here to TRY to be the intern?

and after a few minutes into the interview, it was like "so the topics we will need to you do is..."

and i was thinking "eh? i got the job already? why are they talking like i AM the intern?"

so anyway, i got the job. like that. so much for worrying about how to reply in the interview.

in the end we started chatting about singapore politics and japan, and my possible honours thesis on the whole 377a thing.

so yar. i will start "work" on 10th Dec. after i send justin off at the airport.

its a big deal for me, cos i've never done any "work" or "internship" in my entire duration as a university student. i always like to think i've dedicated my time to db. on hindsight, i've gain some. but i've lost too.

so maybe its time i start thinking a little further than my cosy nest here in nus. its time to challenge myself more. :)

Decided to take some time to blog again! since i've handed in my ASS (Asian States and Society) essay yesterday!

It's Cakes galore, especially after Regatta!!! Below are the variety of cakes I indulged in!

Janice made oreo biscuits-based cheese custards to raise fund for her volunteer trip to Philippines to help poor kids! She made it special for my! she lettered my name and drew me a fish! keke. Hope she will also spread the smiles to the kids!

Alan baked cheesecakes for his friends and gave me two pieces too! its very very nice! he really can cook, and he really can open cheesecake shop. maybe he and Jan can open one together. That silly boy hurt his hand at lab. Hope he recovers real soon!

Was at Munchies when had a sudden dessert craving. wanted the brownie with ice cream. but they ran out of it, so i had to settle for chocolate truffle. someone remind NOT to order it again. i will prefer the brownie from now on!

Had creme brulee (steamed vanilla) and opera (chocolate and coffee cake) at the Authentic French Cafe at Vivo! oh my god. i posted and recommend this place a few posts back. and i went back again! its really very nice! quaint. cosy. warm.

Remember my post on hives and i could not sleep. well, i took pics of my hives. please focus on the lumps and bumps covering the entirety of my sexy legs, and not on how sexy my legs are. I know they are sexy. dun boost my ego by thinking more so.

And so, im so so so tired after finishing 3 essays le. the elections, ASS and my level 5000 one. i still have 3 more. sheesh. pretty screwed. but i took the time to relax. i need a very short break. so went to vivo to jalan jalan!

Apparently the Christmas season is here again. I totally din realise. Vivo's put up their crystal christmas tree. its glittery and nice. but i feel it lacks a distinct festive colouring to add to the holiday cheer. or maybe cos its not the holidays yet for me.

anyway, im back, posted pics, blogged and stuff. i really need to get down to my next essay. lets all jia you okay? and thank you to all of your who congratulated me on my award. just wanna say it still a year more before i leave. and before that, lets take whatever opportunity we can to catch up okay? I am going to study in Japan for a year from next Sept!

I was not placing much hope in getting this scholarship but I got it!!! I actually got it!

Cos i was telling my friends this story:

"so i was outside the interview room, and i asked the guy on my left, 'so how long have you studied Jap?' 'oh 2 years.' and i asked the lady to my right, 'and you?' 'also about 2, 3 years.' then they asked me. and i replied with a little bit of embarassment, 'erm, since August."

its weird, cos today, my scholarship interviewer asked me, "how many friends do i have?" I think he was trying to test my socialibility or unsociability. haha!!! i almost wanted to launch into a debate by asking back, "how do you define friends?" well, the never-ending perennial question.

On hindsight, I should have just said at least a hundred. if my handphone list is of any gauge. it might have upped my chances. ah well.

Regatta is officially over. This race will always have like special fond memories for me personally. It my first race when i was in year one. its the race when SMU collided with PQ's forehead. its the race that marked the start of a long emotional journey personally. And its four years. and im here, marking another milestone in my history. though we got third, i guess we have alot to learn. heh.

This is the "shi2 lian2 pai1" sequence! its Yihan, Gwendoline and Yingbei. They were very to try to do 10 consecutive poses. in the end, only Gwen was left standing as the other two ladies collapses in giggling fits. Then again Gwen only lasted till 4.

this is the "funny faces" series! there is Xiangyi doing the "whatever!", Mervyn doing the "Huh? Herm. Yes im Caveman" look. and finally Xiangyi again giving the death stare.

This the "chio gers" series! Raine, Rahayu, Wenya and Amanda! Super cute!

Some of the juniors decided to get a little rowdy... i think some wanted to up the intimacy level in the team. wahaha!! there is Qiaozhi at the bottom, Miq getting jiggy with him, Choon Guang trying to pull a fast one, and Ben and Dickson just giving them the extra hands. Wee Yang looks amused but declined to join in the fun.

Lastly! there is of course yours truly! I was all pouty cos someone *ahem ahem. you yes you* was not sending me my smses. haha! then i getting all blur and ready for the next race.

I want to end this entry, with a little tribute to the team i have been in for the last 3 and a half years le. I just want to end it with a bang. :)
